R. Kelly heard your jokes, and he didn’t appreciate him. When he posted photos of watching Kobe Bryant’s final game the Internet ceaselessly mocked him for watching it on a tiny TV in a stark white room. We don’t know where R. Kelly was, and he probably had a totally good excuse -- but that hurt him. Now he’s making amends.
On Saturday night in Chicago he paused his concert to watch excerpts from the game on a giant screen while sitting with his back to the crowd in a giant recliner. R. Kelly found a way to unlock the ability to make people pay to watch him watch TV.
