The Warriors knocked over a ref, drilled a 3 over him, and celebrated
NBA referee Ken Mauer was the victim of a stray leg during Game 1 of the NBA Finals. But, if you’re going to tumble to the court in front of the biggest audience of the year, you can’t do it much better than Mauer. He took the contact and tumbled but got right back up like he didn’t just face plant in front of 15 million people.
The Warriors bench is known for celebrating, and they wouldn’t let the fall get in the way. Instead Ian Clark was sure to point out Mauer as he fell then turned him into part of the celebration after Leandro Barbosa made the shot. Credit to Barbosa for making the shot despite getting fouled by the ref.
