If you’ve ever watched the first few minutes of Shark Tank you know that Mark Cuban is a “notorious billionaire” and outspoken owner of the Dallas Mavericks. There may never be a better comment to sum up what it means to be a notorious billionaire than this (starts at 1:20):
Mark Cuban says he’d turn down any offer to buy the Mavericks, even $3 billion

“What do I need $3 billion for?”
On the one hand, he’s right. On the other hand, holy crap who would turn down $3 billion?! It probably doesn’t stop there; Cuban said he would “turn down anything,” which sounds like a lot more than $3 billion. Surely there has to be a number. Would he turn down $5 billion? $10 billion? $100 billion?
Maybe there will be a future episode of Shark Tank where one of the richest people or groups in the world come in and keep upping offers to buy the Mavs until Cuban breaks.
