Giants fan dives into McCovey Cove to retrieve home run ball

You can say a lot of things about this Giants fan, but you can’t say he wasn’t dedicated to getting that free baseball. As soon as Brandon Belt’s home run landed in the water you could see the wheels churning. Several people stood and watched the ball, contemplating the next move. This Giants fan didn’t hesitate at all and quickly after it.

It was a spur of the moment decision, but hopefully one he didn’t regret. We can only hope he removed all electronics and other important items from his pocket before jumping in. Then after landing the ball, he had to swim to the ladder to get out of the cove. He managed just fine and now has the ball to prove it.

He isn’t the first fan to go for a swim after a ball, but at least he didn’t belly flop like the last one.
