Padres infielder dives into the stands and comes away with a baseball covered in cheese

As Yangervis Solarte barreled into the front row, he was only trying to come away with the ball and an out. He managed to do that and picked up a little something extra for his trouble.

At some point during the crash into the stands, Solarte’s glove managed to find someone’s nachos. While that may seem unfortunate -- and it is for the fan who no longer has nachos to eat -- it’s possible the sticky nacho cheese actually helped Solarte secure the catch.

Baseballs get replaced for a myriad of reasons during MLB games, but this may be the first time cheese was the culprit. You see something new everyday.
