David Ortiz snapped his bat over a knee while running to first after a single
On Tuesday against the Rangers, David Ortiz singled, which would normally be a good thing. Ortiz was not too pleased, however. He took that frustration out on his bat, snapping it like a twig across his leg while running down to first base.
Ortiz didn’t seem disappointed by the single. Instead, it seemed like this was the frustration bubbling over from a rough game. Ortiz finished the night just 1-for-5 with that single being his only hit. Not only that, but he missed out on a couple opportunities, including grounding out with the bases loaded.
Who needs a stupid bat that delivers hits at the wrong time? Clearly not David Ortiz.
