Kirk Cousins did his best safety impression and stripped Aqib Talib
Washington found its newest defensive player.
Forget about playing quarterback — Washington needs to sign Kirk Cousins as their next safety. He can be the NFL’s dual threat (though he’d have to find some time to rest since he’s playing both defense and offense).
Just take a look at how he stripped Aqib Talib on this interception (Talib intercepted Cousins, but that’s not the point).
After the play, Cousins talked to Lisa Salters about how it unfolded:
“Aqib wasn’t really securing the ball, so I thought maybe I had a chance. You never know, I just thought I’d try to strip him and do my best Don Beebe impersonation.”
That’s not a bad impression.
