2017 Pro Bowl MVP: Travis Kelce and Lorenzo Alexander are this year’s winners

The AFC teammates helped secure the win for their team.

The AFC beat the NFC 20-13 in a spirited 2017 Pro Bowl, and two players from the AFC squad won MVP honors.

Travis Kelce, who caught three passes for 36 yards and a touchdown and also converted a first down on a fake field goal attempt, was named the offensive MVP.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end even gave us a Salt Bae celebration:

The defensive MVP went to the Buffalo Bills’ Lorenzo Alexander. Alexander had eight solo tackles, one in which he laid out Jimmy Graham on the NFC’s final drive as they tried to tie up the game.

Alexander also had the interception to secure the 20-13 victory for the AFC.

This is just the fourth season the league has awarded the game’s best offensive and defensive player. Last year, Russell Wilson won the offensive honor and his teammate Michael Bennett won the defensive award. Wilson threw three touchdowns and no picks on 8-of-12 attempts. Bennett recorded the only sack of the game.

In 2015, Matthew Stafford and J.J Watt took home the honors, and in 2014, it was Nick Foles and Derrick Johnson.
