Yo-yo superstar Evan Nagao is one of this county’s greatest treasures, and over the weekend he won the National Yo-Yo Contest with a routine to Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now” that will turn your brain into mush.
Watch the world’s best yo-yo athlete, who practices 3 hours every day
This is bananas.

Nagao set the stage on fire by winning the 1A finals by scoring an 89.6 to this routine, which he explained on Reddit.
“I practiced my routine for about 5 months roughly 3 hours a day. I’m really sick of the song right now actually, haha. It’s very much like the olympics, but instead of getting the gold irl, I got internet gold.”
This is so far removed from any yo-yoing you’ve probably seen, and it might even be better than his 2017 routine at the European Championships (which Nagao also won) where he went off by performing “Freebird.”
The Hawaii native is solidly the best yo-yo competitor in the world.
