Eddie Jackson of the Bears is having the kind of day players dream about their entire lives and never achieve. It began when Panthers second-round pick Curtis Samuel got his “welcome to the NFL” moment on this horrific option fail.
Bears’ Eddie Jackson scores TWO 75-yard defensive TDs in the 1st half
Woof ...

The Panthers were in the process of a huge drive when Cam Newton ran the option on the Bears 24. It looked like a good play, and Samuel had daylight — he just forgot to catch the ball. What ensued was a slow-motion scramble with the ball bobbling towards the sideline before it was finally picked up for the score.
But Eddie Jackson wasn’t done yet, and when Kelvin Benjamin popped the ball up at the start of the second quarter he was there ... again.
The fumble was charged to Newton, because sometimes life isn’t fair. The interception was a case of trying to squeeze the ball into a window that was too tight, but nonetheless Jackson is leading a charmed life. Two 75-yard defensive touchdowns in one game.
Let’s see how the Panthers are taking all this.
Welp.
