It’s one of those freak things that just happens. The amount of backspin on the ball to carry it all the way to the goal is impressive, and you’ve got to feel for the keeper who did his best to sprint back only to see it cross the line.
Some are saying that the goal shouldn’t have been legal, claiming the ball is dead after it hits the crossbar — but the referee allowed it.
We’ve seen this kind of thing before, but it doesn’t make it any less impressive.
