During the 2008 Olympics, Michael Phelps told reporters he was eating 8,000 to 10,000 calories a day. You know, while setting world records.
Michigan State student tries to eat 100 McChickens in a day, ends up with failure and a sick tummy
Welcome to College, uh, Food-ball Saturday.

But one Michigan State student decide he could QUADRUPLE that — by eating 100 McChickens from McDonalds in ONE DAY.
And, naturally, he Snapchatted the whole thing.
According to the Lansing State Journal, the student, a senior named Derek Metcalf, saw the challenge posted on social media and decided to try it for himself.
And some of his Snaps from throughout the day make it pretty clear that attempting to eat 35,700 calories in 24 hours is NOT a good idea.
Getting ready for school is hard enough without McChickens.
TFW you’ve eaten too much processed chicken LMAO.
Late night snack gang.
Jeez — that looks like a terrible day. Well, actually, it looks like any normal day with THOUSANDS OF CALORIES added in.
And the worst part of this whole things is ... he didn’t even get close. Metcalf ate 24 McChickens: an ungodly number, sure, but not even a quarter of the way to his stated goal.
All things considered, that might be for the best. And if he ever tries it again, he now knows his weakness.
“Too much mayo makes a man weak,” Metcalf told the Lansing State Journal. “It was really hard to eat that amount of mayo.”
