Behold, Dwight Howard’s coast-to-coast slowbreak for a dunk in 2017

What are we even watching?

Hi, yes, hello — it’s me. I’m bringing you this message from an alternate 2004 where the Bobcats drafted Dwight Howard instead of Emeka Okafor, became the Hornets and then this happened.

Yup, that’s Dwight Howard going coast-to-coast in 2017, which isn’t a thing that should happen — but here we are, because NBA preseason is a goofy place where the impossible becomes possible.

Let’s be real: Howard has caught a lot of hell for playing a style of ball that doesn’t apply in the NBA. Critics have said he needs to become a better shooter, get quicker, and re-invent himself to remain relevant. Maybe this is a step in that?

Or it’s NBA preseason and we shouldn’t read too much into him doing this. Probably that one.
