Serena Williams teaches her daughter about the power of sports in Gatorade commercial

Sometimes commercials are actually good.

There’s a distinct moment in life where you start to tear up at commercials. It’s a hard shift where one second you’re the person who’s like “I’d never cry at a commerical,” then the next you’re bawling as a duck gets cleaned up with dish soap. I’ve passed this point and the Gatorade Serena ad gets me right in the feels.

Serena and her daughter, Alexis, star in the ad that sends the message that the important part of sports isn’t winning, it’s always competing and never giving up. It transitions from lessons learned on the court to life and gosh — it’s just so good.
