This is one of those plays.
Oh. My. Gosh.
This is the goalie of Mainz FC, a German soccer club, during Sunday’s game against Borussia Mönchengladbach. However, you’d be forgiven for not believing this is a pro soccer game, because I’ve seen this exact maneuver at my little sister’s rec soccer games.
However, we all make mistakes — even professional athletes. In fact, this should only serve as inspiration for aspiring keepers in the future: the keep probably won’t make this mistake again and, now, neither will you.
