Cam Newton continued his incredible tradition of giving on Tuesday when he became Santa Claus and traveled around Charlotte to bring cheer to people before the holidays.
Cam Newton becomes Santa and gives out $100,000 in gifts and food to the needy
This is the best tradition.

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
Newton has made this a tradition since he arrived in Carolina. Working through the Cam Newton Foundation, he travels around town the week before Christmas surprising kids, teachers, and the needy with gifts, encouragement, and cheer.
This year’s list is mighty impressive:
- $15,750 to a local middle school.
- $25K to a food bank and 200 fleece blankets.
- $25K to a school-based mobile food pantry.
- 25 families given $500 Food Lion gift cards.
A total of over $100,000 in gifts were given away, and the photos really say it all.
