This TCU fan really changed shirts for a selfie with Stanford’s Bryce Love
This isn’t bandwagoning. It’s commitment to flex.

Who says you can’t have it all? Certainly not this TCU, er, Stanford fan.
After the Alamo Bowl ended, a fan in a purple hoodie — we’re assuming he’s a TCU fan celebrating the Horned Frog’s victory — was on the field. Then he saw Stanford’s Bryce Love, and he immediately got rid of the purple.
He revealed a red long-sleeved shirt to take a selfie with Love — because if you’re going to take a photo with an athlete you have to show you’re a fan, and what better way to do that than by wearing the Stanford Cardinal’s color?
This is such a clever thing to do. This also is like in wrestling where they reveal the shirt they have on under to switch alliances. We’re witnessing a switch from nWo Hollywood to nWo Wolfpac — for the gram.
To be fair though, he does keep his purple hoodie on at all times. Notice how even when he’s taking the selfie, he still has it on at least his right forearm. This dude came prepared, and there was no stopping him from a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
And then once he’s done taking the picture, he puts the purple hoodie back on! Incredible. You can call him a bandwagon fan, but I have a better term for this hero: sports social media innovator.
You do you, sports fan. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t root for both teams.
Update: Here’s the selfie!
And he has a pretty good reason why he opted to take a photo with Love instead of TCU players:
