With 2017 coming to a close Twitter released its list of the biggest tweets from athletes this year, judged by how many times they were retweeted.

This happened shortly after Curry and the Warriors were un-invited from the White House after they already said they weren’t going to celebrate the team’s NBA Championship win.
2. Lions punter Sam Martin collects dog food for Houston
With 623,400 retweets, Martin donated 1,870 TONS of dog food to helps dogs in need.
3. Colin Kaepenick thanks Eminem for his shout-out
Emimem’s cypher during the BET Hip Hop Awards turned heads when he drew a line in the sand for his fans to support him or the president. His two-minute performance included a shout out to Kaepernick for standing against racial inequality and police brutality.
4. John Cena is concerned about the iPhone X
What happens when your phone only unlocks by scanning your face and you’re famous for being invisible? We still don’t know if Cena got an iPhone X or how he’s unlocking his phone if he did.
5. Chris Rainey’s son gets so dizzy.
The former Florida receiver, now playing in the CFL, shared a video of his son at the park begging to be spun around until he couldn’t stand. It was such a sweet and universal moment we couldn’t help but laugh along with him.

The lead up to Mayweather vs. McGregor was almost a full year of trash talking and baiting between the two, but in the end Floyd only used four characters to tell everyone what they needed to know about the fight.

McGregor announced that his fight against Mayweather was finally on by taking a shot at the boxing champ, while posting a picture of his father. It was a double-burn that ultimately backfired.
8. Jermaine Defoe says goodbye to a friend
One of the most heartbreaking moments of the year was Jermaine Defoe saying goodbye to 6-year-old fan Bradley Lowery, who died of cancer in July. Defoe called the boy “his best friend” and opened up by sharing photos of the two along with a goodbye message.
9. Michael Bennett shares his story from Las Vegas
The Seahawks defensive tackle shared his story of he was handcuffed outside a casino in Las Vegas following the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight, saying he experienced racial profiling by the police.
10. Odell Beckham Jr. doesn’t care about your opinion
Odell Beckham Jr. was criticized for much of the year due to the infamous Giants boat photos and the team’s unceremonious exit from the playoffs. By the time August rolled around he’d had enough.
