These roommates evicted a rat with brilliant teamwork and a perfect slapshot

There’s a whole lot going on in this one short video about three roommates dealing with a rat in the house. Before we break this thing down we need to get something out of the way real quick: There are some people on the internet getting angry about this video, upset that the rat might have been hurt. In reality this seems like a vastly preferred rat removal technique than say ... poisoning it or killing it with a trap.
Cool? Cool. Not cool? Don’t care. So what makes this video so amazing are all the levels in it, none of which are intentional. Using buckets and creating a maze makes the whole scene reminiscent of “Mouse Trap,” that board game you never played but just build the trap.
From there the rat goes tumbling down the stairs, but not in a quick, prat fall kind of way. It’s more of a slow, smooth jazz meets poetry tumble. Just when your brain processes this rat is tumbling it lands and you realize it’s okay.
THEN BOOM! BROOM OUTTA NOWHERE!
This is one heck of a wrist shot. Moving moderately-sized objects with a broom is always an each-way bet. You don’t know whether the bristles are up to the task, or if you have the skill to make the shot — but this one was just perfect. Right out the door and to freedom, where rats belong.
