A cricket one-day international between Sri Lanka and South Africa in Johannesburg was brought to a grinding halt when a swarm of bees descended on the field and stopped the game for over an hour:

Groundskeepers and players alike tried their best to contain the bees. The tried-and-true “let’s push them in a bucket with a coke can” didn’t seem to work, so a player turned his helmet into a beehive to attract them.
Everyone just hit the deck and hoped for the best as the swarm descended:
