This is a lesson for anyone who wants to try and jump over a sand dune on a dirt bike: Check what’s on the other side. This video has some NFSW language.
Dirt bike rider avoids near-disaster after landing on a Jeep’s hood during 100-foot jump

While filming in Qatar, this rider attempted a 100-foot jump, with the assumption he’d land safely on the other side. When he was in the air he realized that he, and his fellow riders, were landing in the path of some jeeps driving on the other side.
Immediately after landing the rider yelled an expletive and flipped off someone, but it’s unclear who. It’s understandable that the scary experience could lead to an outburst, but where is it directed and who is responsible?
Some YouTube commenters are saying the Jeep drivers should have noticed the camera crew at the top of the dune filming the jump, while others point out that it’s the responsibility of the jump’s spotters to watch for the riders.
Regardless of who’s to blame, this was an exceedingly close call. Had the Jeep not slowed down when the jump happened the dirt bike rider would have landed on the cloth hood, which would have seriously injured or potentially killed the driver. That might sound like hyperbole, but look what the landing did to the steel bonnet of the car.
Thankfully everyone was OK.
