Michael Jordan has high standards when it comes to a successful NBA season — maybe a little too high. While having dinner with several NBA owners, Jordan had a simple message for Warriors’ owner Joe Lacob.
Michael Jordan tells Warriors owner ‘73 wins don’t mean s***’

“You know, 73 wins don’t mean s***.”
The meeting came during the offseason while owners were speaking about the new NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Lacob told the story about Jordan on sports radio in San Francisco, and about his response.
“You know, you’re right, we didn’t win it, we had to get better.”
That has to be the response, right? It’s not like you’re going to win an argument over successful seasons with Michael Jordan. That said, it comes off a little petty — especially in light of Jordan being part of the 1995-96 Bulls team that went 72-10. This means we can either take it as Jordan being the fiery competitor he’s known to be, or simply a chance to talk trash about the team who broke his own regular-season record.
Or we can be super petty and point out that the Charlotte Hornets’ best season with Jordan as owner was in 2015-16 with a 48-34 record. Not that we’d do that.
