On Wednesday, a man in the Italian city of Crotone pretended he was severely ill, in order to get access to a good view of the city’s soccer match against Juventus. Juventus and Crotone played to a sold-out stadium, which seats 16,000, but right next to the stadium is a hospital, which gives patients a neat view of the pitch. It’s similar to the rooftops you see next to Wrigley Field, except there are windows.
Juventus fan pretended to be sick to watch a sold-out game from a nearby hospital

According to The Washington Post, the hospital wanted to prevent fans without tickets from exploiting the free view, because it’s happened before:
Ospedale San Giovanni di Dio officials wanted to avoid a situation that occurred a decade ago, when the two teams met in a lower-league match that saw several fans disguise themselves as visitors of patients just to stake out a spot at one of the upper-floor windows, Italian sports website CalcioNews24 reports. And so for the day, the hospital instituted a “patient-only” admittance policy.
For the most part, it worked, until the aforementioned Juventus fan arrived, and cited a fake illness to get inside. The hospital then called him on his bullshit, and sent him out of the building. He didn’t get to see Juventus win 2-0 against Crotone, but just in case he reads this and wants to check on the game he missed, here’s a highlight reel:
