This weekend’s WRC rally in Mexico ended in bizarre, heart-pounding fashion. Race leader Kris Meeke was easily ahead of the field when he lost control of his car and crashed into a trackside parking lot.

Meeke, understandably disoriented from the accident, weaved his way through parked cars to find his way back to the track. Much of his 37-second lead was erased by the detour, but he still found a way to return to the track and win the race.
It was a stunning moment that became even more unforgettable for one fan, whose Volkswagen was hit in the accident.
The fan seems almost overjoyed that his car got wrecked during the finish of the rally, and with good reason. He shrewdly asked Meeke to autograph the car and he intends to sell it on eBay.
Very slick move.
