Charles Barkley called out LaVar Ball and challenged him to a 1-on-1 game

LaVar Ball made waves early in the week when the father of UCLA superstar Lonzo Ball claimed that he could have “killed Michael Jordan” in a game of one-on-one back in the day. Jordan, who is likely still determining whether a ceiling is a roof, has not commented on Ball’s statements — but Charles Barkley has.

Barkley appeared on Mike & Mike in the Morning on Wednesday and sounded off on LaVar.

“I’m too old and fat to play basketball, but I’ll challenge Mr. Ball to a one-on-one. I don’t even know how old he is. He’s gotta be around my age. But ain’t no guy who averaged two points per game can beat me one on one. I’m positive of that.”

Barkley’s right on the money. The two are around the same age, Barkley is 54 years old, Ball is 49. Hardly enough to make a significant difference, and Chuck definitely has the stronger resume. Well, assuming you think that being a former NBA MVP is better than averaging two points (spoiler: it is). Think Chuck stopped there? Hell no he didn’t.

”I think he just likes the attention. They probably weren’t interviewing guys who averaged two points per game in college, so now he’s getting his interviews, and everybody is going to put him on because he says catchy stuff.”

Barkley isn’t the only one who’s doubting Ball’s belief. A former teammate told TMZ the idea of him beating Michael Jordan was “laughable.” So all we’re left with is the potential of Barkley vs. Ball, which needs to happen. Heck, let’s turn it into a remake of ...
