Bugs and glitches are nothing new in sports video games, but this graphical bug in MLB The Show 17 is so horrible it genuinely makes your skin crawl:

The thing on the left looks like a hastily crafted effigy created to put a voodoo curse on someone. You can’t really parse exactly what you’re looking at, but the tree trunk-like head suddenly starts resembling a villainous face the more you look at it:
The less I say about the player on the right the better. It genuinely unsettles me and I don’t like it at all.
These easily surpass the monsters we got from NBA 2K15’s face scanning back in 2014:
