Nick Fredriksen may be the most incredible athlete you’ve never heard of. The champion lumberjack crushed his competition in February -- and he did it all with one arm.
This incredible lumberjack with one arm crushed his wood-chopping competition

Fredriksen finished second in the 275mm Standing Block final, at the 2017 Killarney Show in Australia. His performance is a true testament to the power of refusing to believe something isn’t possible.
Fredriksen was eight years old when he lost his arm in a farming accident, which he says helped him adjust to life. Now he’s not only competing in his favorite sport, but inspiring others.
“I’m very dedicated to this sport and think it’s important to encourage others not to hold back in getting involved with things like this. It’s really a case of mind over matter. If you let a disability like mine get to you, it’s hard to move on and you can’t achieve what you want to achieve in life.”
Now his daughter is competing in wood chopping too. The video above isn’t a single example of his incredible ability, earlier in the day he finished second in the underhand final as well.
