The Fireflies photoshopped Tim Tebow in their jersey back in August of 2016. The Mets’ Class-A affiliate surely didn’t think this was possible, but decided to have a little fun. Then on September 6, almost a month after their tweet, Tebow signed with the Mets.
Fast-forward seven months and ...
It’s happening! Tebow is being assigned to Columbia, whose opening game is on April 6. Naturally they’re more than a little excited about it.
Now we just wait as a Tim Tebow jersey inevitably hurtles to breaking sales records for the Fireflies.
