A very good dog is the newest member of North Carolina’s baseball team

Go Remington! Beat Duke!

The North Carolina baseball team has a new member, and it’s not one you see very often, or ever. His name is Remington, and he is a very good dog.

Remington is in his rookie season and plays the position of service dog for the team. He takes balls out to the umpire, holds a ballcap during the national anthem, and comforts players if they’re having a bad day.

Here are some wonderful pics of our new friend, Remington.

Let’s hope every team follows UNC’s lead, because there really isn’t a better way to lift the morale and spirits of a team than a very good clubhouse dog.

Check out the rest of Remington’s Instagram account and his player bio page.

h/t the lovely folks over at Cut4.
