Local TV anchor makes his own hilarious March Madness highlights with Legos to get around NCAA rights

James Dator
James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.

Eric Alvarez of FOX17 in Nashville had to get creative when the NCAA wouldn’t allow his network to show highlights from March Madness, but luckily he had some Legos laying around.

Gonzaga vs. Xavier was difficult to sum up without highlights, but thankfully two heroes were here to help.

The task of trying to explain Oregon’s unlikely win over Kansas was near-impossible, but thanks to a little extra creativity he made it work.

Real talk: I’d watch every game highlight redone with Lego and toys. This version from Nashville is an incredible homage to the classic recreation of Duke vs. Belmont from 2008 in San Antonio.
