The Netherlands beat Great Britain, 5-4, in their tournament opener on Sunday. But the big win came afterward when Dutch defenseman Cloë Keijzer proposed to British forward Katie Henry, her longtime partner.
The whole scene was fantastic, with the Dutch players revealing shirts saying “#6 MARRY ME?” as Keijzer got down on one knee.
The couple are teammates, having played together in Sweden and the English Women’s Elite League. Congratulations to both!
