Oilers fans sing ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ after singer’s microphone fails

This is why sports and hockey are awesome.

For one, the dude did a really good job of adjusting on the fly after learning his microphone wasn’t working.

Secondly, for Canadian fans to jump in without hesitation may be even cooler. And to do it for another country’s national anthem makes it even more impressive.

The United States and Canada, in general, are huge rivals, especially when it comes to hockey.

How many other countries would do the same for a big rival? And it makes you wonder if the U.S. would return the favor if we were in their shoes. I’d like to think so.
