The veteran returned to the Carolina Hurricanes lineup on Thursday after missing months following a multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Afterward, Bickell was overcome with emotions when asked about his future.
On Saturday morning, Bickell and his wife, Amanda, were guests of honor at the 2017 Walk MS at the Hurricanes’ arena. As Bickell was speaking to the crowd, his teammates gave him a surprise.
