The baseball gods were not very good to Jeremy Guthrie on his 38th birthday. And when I say not very good I mean absolutely atrocious. He didn’t even make it out of the 1st inning.

This is so tragic.

And unfortunately for Guthrie, his first start since 2015 set all kinds of records.
To be honest, this sucks for Guthrie. You gotta feel for someone who has worked so hard to get to where he is to get absolutely throttled by a bad team. And all of this to happen on the poor guy’s birthday.
Hopefully, he gets a chance to redeem himself soon.
