According to the tweet the owner lost 50 pounds due to complications following the flu and looked unrecognizable, which caused the pupper to be upset. After finally being coaxed into saying hello he sniffed the man sitting on the bench and realized who he was.
So good! Oh, also that whole “dusty” thing at the top of an article wasn’t really a euphemism for crying. I just turned on my ceiling fan for the first time since last summer and it really did get dusty in here — which reminds me that I’m terrible at dusting ceiling fans.
