Tim Tebow’s switch to baseball appears to be paying dividends. A report Friday states that the Mets are preparing to promote Tebow to Double A. The change wouldn’t be immediate, according to the New York Post, which reports that a team source says the promotion won’t likely occur until after the All-Star break.

Tebow would report to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies after a successful stint with the Columbia Fireflies, which saw Tebow bat for .250 in 28 starts, including 11 RBIs. In his last game on Wednesday, he went 2-for-5 with two RBIs in a win over the Delmarva Shorebirds.
Tebow’s game has been improving since the start of the season and has caught the attention of his minor league coaches.
