After Cleveland blew out Boston in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, Isaiah Thomas said he wasn’t scared of the Cavs because, via Cleveland.com, “They’re not the Monstars.”
Cavs played the Monstars theme from ‘Space Jam,’ and then lost just like the Monstars

“We’re not scared of Cleveland. They’re not the Monstars. They’re not on ‘Space Jam.’ Like, they lace up their shoes just like us. They just happened to play better than us in Game 1. We’ve just got to protect home court in Game 2 and get the win.”
Except, the Cavs were kinda playing like the Monstars. And they came out and won Game 2 by a billion points.
So, what did the Cavs do for Game 3 in Cleveland on Sunday? They came out to the dang Monstars anthem!
Petty? Yes. Hilarious? Yes.
The only problem is that the Monstars lost ...
So when Avery Bradley hit a game-winner ...
And the Cavs lost, too ...
Twitter had a field day ... You can’t come out to the Monstars theme and lose.
The point-forward question now becomes this: The Monstars never won a single game. Can the Cavs win two more games to get the NBA Finals or will the TUNE SQUAD CURSE claim them?
