JaVale McGee wore a Shaq hat to Game 1 and it was so petty and great

The shade is real y’all.

JaVale McGee showed up to Game 1 of the NBA Finals looking fresher than a newborn, and could very well be throwing shade at Shaquille O’Neal with his hat.

The hat, which simply says “SHAQ” on the front, also features O’Neal’s logo. It’s a good hat!

The hat likely wasn’t worn because of JaVale’s adoration of Shaq, though.

The two had a feud during the season that got so ugly, Shaq’s mom told him he needed to leave JaVale alone. Even the Warriors reached out to TNT to defuse the situation.

We should also mention the rest of JaVale’s outfit is slick, with the red and orange jacket, complemented with a white tee and chains. If he somehow has a podium game, he’s well dressed for the occasion.

Never forget that it’s always better to laugh with JaVale McGee, than at him — word to the baby phone.
