Kevin Durant and his mom Wanda finally got the celebration they’ve been waiting for

The most emotional moment of the Warriors celebration came at halfcourt when Kevin Durant’s mom Wanda met her son for a special moment. It just so happened that it came right before KD’s interview, and we all got to witness the moment.

Wanda Durant tugged at her son’s beard, looking him in the eye and repeating “You did it.” It’s been a long road for Durant to make it, and sure there will be people who try to step on his title by saying it took him joining the Warriors to get here — but it’s still his moment, and when it’s all said and done he was historic.

Such a great moment.
