MMA fighter gets injured during match, official pulls stool from under him

Saturday night’s Bellator match between Michael Chandler and Brent Primus ended in an odd fashion. Chandler injured his left ankle in the first round, which made him wobbly for the rest of the match. When the ref noticed his injury, he called timeout and got doctors in to check on Chandler’s ankle.
The doctor examined his ankle and determined the match should be called off; Chandler didn’t want it to end, so he stood to show everyone he could still fight. As Chandler stood and encouraged the crowd, right behind him was a commission inspector who literally pulled his stool right from under him, causing him to fall on his butt. Primus won the lightweight title via TKO.
Understandably, Chandler was incensed, and he made it known in a post-match press conference (via MMA Fighting):
“Cut it off, cut this thing off,” screamed Chandler. “I’ll keep going. I didn’t hear a word he said, I can’t wait to get back in this cage.”
