Steve Kerr got an emotional standing ovation for his return to the Warriors’ bench

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has been absent from the bench since the team’s first-round series again the Trail Blazers while struggling with symptoms stemming from botched back surgery. On Sunday night, he triumphantly returned to courtside, and fans gave him a hero’s welcome.

The Warriors haven’t exactly been struggling without Kerr, but his return is big. This is the NBA’s brightest stage, and he deserves to enjoy it with his team. The moment was amazing, and midway through the ovation Kerr got a little choked up.

NOW it feels like everyone is in the building.
