The UCLA men’s basketball team had some special guests at their summer practice Monday — rap superstars Kanye West and 2 Chainz.

Ball so hard.

The “Birthday Song” duo looked like they had a great time, mingling with players and coaches before the team worked out in preparation for the upcoming season. The team told CBS Sports that Kanye was playing in the gym when the team walked in, and then the rappers chatted with players before leaving.
“A lot of our guys listen to his music, so it was a cool thing for them,” the UCLA spokesperson said to CBS Sports. “We sometimes get celebrities on our campus, and you never know how they’re going to be. But, honestly, Kanye was super-friendly with our guys. I was impressed.”
Very cool.
Of course, this isn’t Kanye’s first time on the court — for his birthday in 2015, Kim Kardashian rented out Staples Center for her husband to hoop with his friends:
And, of course, there was also the time he balled on some elderly people who were using the same gym as him in Australia:
2 Chainz, on the other hand, has even more basketball experience than Kanye. He was a D-I basketball player at Alabama State during the 1996-1997 season. Even though he played only 11 minutes a game, he could put up numbers. If you want to see the rapper formerly known as Tity Boi in action, you can check out this video of him balling in high school:
And here’s him hooping today:
2 Chainz still got it! He’s no Quavo, but he’s not bad at all. And with UCLA looking for someone to replace recent Lakers draft pick Lonzo Ball, maybe of of these two guys could be that player! After, Lonzo wants to be a rapper.
2 Chainz definitely seemed excited enough.
Let’s make it happen, Bruins.
