Quavo, of Atlanta trio Migos, is a good rapper — he’s the artist partially responsible for big hits like “Bad and Boujee,” “Versace,” and most recently DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One.” But what people DON’T know about Quavo is that he’s also a stellar athlete.
Quavo from Migos is secretly an amazing athlete and proved it by balling with Shaq’s son
Baller alert!
And no, I don’t mean “good for a rapper,” like in the same way you might say LeBron’s raps are “good for an athlete.” No, Quavo ACTUALLY has moves, and he’s shown it time and time again.
But Quavo’s greatest sports accomplishment came recently when the rapper played basketball with Shaq’s son and Arizona recruit, Shareef O’Neal — and proved that he can ball with the best of ’em.
Obviously, we don’t get the whole game situation from this video, but it’s clear the Quavo was putting up numbers. It shows him making shot after shot after shot — nailing deep threes and smooth layups. Plus, he’s a team player; the man has multiple assists, passing away the ball when he’s in trouble and letting his teammates finish the play.
And this isn’t even the first time he’s showed of his athletic ability.
There was this impressive act of sports wizardry — in fact, after watching this video a million times, I’m still not sure how he pulled this off. It’s a superb feat, even considering Quavo played quarterback in high school. He gets bonus points here for combining sports, too!
And then there was the time he flexed his basketball skills in a game of Knockout (or Lightning or whatever you call the game) with the other members of Migos, Chance the Rapper, and Pacers’ Myles Turner — for $100,000!
And as you can see from the video, Quavo is one of the best on the court. Even Myles Turner — who plays basketball for a living — couldn’t beat him every round:
After being called out by the Hawks Tuesday, I’m not one to say that fans should be giving NBA teams management advice. But *hint hint* maybe some NBA teams should look into signing young Quavo Ratatouille. After all, he is a certified baller with a lot of potential ... definitely draft material.
And need I remind you — he did it all without even taking his chains off.
