Hamburg’s Nicolai Muller experienced both a high and a low in a short amount of time during a match against Augsburg. First, Muller put his team up a goal with this nice shot:
Bundesliga player injures himself while celebrating a goal

Anyone would be thrilled to score a tight goal like that, which is what he did, and it was OK, until he injured his knee doing a spinning uppercut.
Hopefully, Muller is OK and the injury isn’t too serious, because we’ve seen much worse in the NFL. You might recall that famous one in 2014 where Stephen Tulloch tore his ACL while celebrating a sack with Aaron Rodgers’ “discount double check.” It’s not great when an athlete gets injured, especially when it’s caused by a celebration. That’s supposed to be a joyous occasion, and then all that can go away with one huge misstep. At least Muller went out with a spinning uppercut, Street Fighter-style.
