If you’re ever on Twitter and want to tag either Jon “Bones” Jones or Daniel Cormier, the UFC fighters, then you should probably read this before doing so. It turns out that @JonJones and @DanielCormier are not the official Twitter handles of the MMA stars.
UFC fans are tagging the wrong Jon Jones on Twitter and this dude is LOVING IT
Daniel Cormier loves it too.

You can find Jon “Bones” Jones on Twitter at @JonnyBones. Daniel Cormier is at @DC_MMA.
It’s an easy mistake, especially since both Jones and Cormier, the ones not in the UFC, play along all the time. They’ll occasionally even interact with each other to give the impression that it’s two UFC fighters talking trash online.
When Jon Jones reportedly failed a drug test at UFC 214, the other Jon quote tweeted the news. It quickly went viral.
To someone casually browsing their timeline, you see a Jon Jones twitter account — one that’s verified — you would have to assume it’s that Jon Jones tweeting frustration after his UFC victory. But nope. This Jon Jones is a game developer.
Magic forward Terrence Ross fell for it, as have other people.
And while the Twitter user Daniel Cormier isn’t verified, people still tag him whenever there is any UFC news.
So the next time you want to talk to either UFC star on Twitter, make sure the handle is the correct one.
