What must have happened here is that a water snake latched onto the fish as the kid was reeling it in, keeping the two attached. I’ve never seen anything quite like this before, and the uncle in the video needs to be commended.
Not only did he stay calm while there was a writhing snake on the ground just feet from his nephew, but when the boy started to cry because the snake took his fish, he played in off INSTANTLY and turned the situation around.
That is some pro skill right there, from the fisherkid and the uncle.
