Two good dogs played good defense against Klay Thompson
Air Bud has some company.

We still have a long ways to go until the NBA regular season. But in the meantime, Klay Thompson is trying to improve his game by going up against some very good dogs.
Is this the latest craze in training for the regular season? Probably not. Does this improve your dribbling? Maybe, since the dogs are can easily steal the ball without taking seconds to reach for it. Is this fun as hell? You bet.
More NBA teams should bring their good dogs and play defense against them, as long as they don’t embarrass the puppers with crossovers like someone did at a pickup game.
All I know is that even though he got the shot off, Klay missed, and we should give the pup playing lockdown defense some credit. Dog 2 could have worked harder on that play. He seemed to give up as soon as Thompson started dribbling. This was a great opportunity for it to start a double team and really give the defending NBA champ a hard time.
But Dog 2 had no time for that. It turned around and barely bothered to get inbounds until its attention shifted to some nearby shoes. Dog 1 picked up the pace, though, as his defense got better and started barking even louder to stop Klay. It ended up working.
But Klay was out of bounds early in the video to begin with, so the dogs got the defensive stop they were looking for even earlier than that. Air Bud was cool, but what about a whole team of dogs playing basketball?
Good dogs defense.
