Normally a “welcome to the NFL” moment for a rookie is something that woefully embarrasses them, but Nazair Jones of the Seahawks made a different kind of impression — and it’s a darn shame it didn’t count.
Aaron Rodgers got saved the embarrassment of a big man pick-six thanks to a penalty
This should have counted for style points alone.

Jones didn’t just pick off an opposing quarterback or score a pick-six, he did it against Aaron Rodgers. That’s amazing on its own, and then you factor in that it was a big man touchdown and well — it’s just incredible. Check out that speed too! He really had some jets on this one.
Sadly this was all overturned because Cliff Avril committed an illegal block, erasing one of the best moments of Jones’ young career. Life just isn’t fair.
After the game, Avril made it clear he disagreed with the call
On the same play, cornerback Jeremy Lane was ejected for throwing a forearm during the touchdown return, but on closer look he was grabbed by the face mask by Davante Adams first.
The Seahawks failed to score on the ensuing drive. The Packers won the game, 17-9.
