In the lead-up to Saturday’s game between Alabama and Florida State, ESPN debuted a new Taylor Swift song for a promotional video. It’s called “...Ready For It?”, the first track off her upcoming album Reputation.
Taylor Swift’s new song premiered during college football, and it’s actually good
It’s so much better than “Look What You Made Me Do.”

It’s not the first time ESPN used a Taylor Swift song in a promo. Right after she debuted “Look What You Made Me Do,” the song was used in an earlier Bama-FSU promo by the network. Both songs are also being used in ABC’s commercials for its upcoming fall shows, which makes sense because ESPN and ABC are owned by Disney, and Swift has a history of partnering with major corporations (see: Taylor Swift and Diet Coke, Taylor Swift and Target, Taylor Swift and AT&T, Taylor Swift and UPS).
As for the song itself, it’s way better than “Look What You Made Me Do.” “Look What You Made Me Do” sounded like replacement music for shows that can’t lock down licensed music because it’s too expensive. But this one is actually good. It sounds like a spiritual sequel to “Bad Blood” off her last album 1989, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she mashed them together at a concert.
“...Ready For It” is out now on streaming services.
