Federer has been Krajekian’s hero for years and the boy gained the attention of the tennis community following a profile of the him. When he was 8 years old, Krajekian needed to have his leg amputated as part of his cancer treatment — but that never forced him to stop playing the game he loved.
Hearing his story, Federer wrote to the boy and made him a promise.
”Get well soon Marc and tell me when you’re ready and I’l play tennis with you.”
